Robert Larry Lee
May 11th, 1938 - April 8th, 2025
Robert Larry Lee, 86, of Tucson, Arizona, died April 8, 2025. He was born May 11, 1938 in Toledo, Washington to Robert Edwin Lee and Gala Fern Lee. Larry graduated from Winlock High School and attended Washington State University. His career started at Boeing Scientific Research Lab, where he worked as an electronics technician. He later became a journeyman instrumentation technician while working for the Weyerhaeuser Corporation. After raising a family, he worked on Alaska’s North Slope at Prudhoe Bay for Standard Oil of Ohio and British Petroleum.
In retirement, Larry enjoyed numerous hobbies, including, but not limited to, silversmithing, craft beer making, collecting political memorabilia and gently teasing his grandkids. He had perfected the latter over a lifetime by teasing his sisters, and later, his children. He was an active member of Unity churches in the communities where he lived.
Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Carleen, their children Minta Keyes (Kevin) and R. Jon Lee, grandchildren Rob Collins, Cheryl Cohen (Daniel) and Alex Keyes, great-grandchildren Selma and Parker, and sisters Linda Rice (Jim) and Carol Leyton.
Services will be held at Bring’s Broadway Chapel at 11 am April 26, 2025. Memorial donations may be made in his honor to Heifer International at heifer.org
