November 20th, 1949 - April 8th, 2025
It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mother, grandmother, and sister, Julia Chavez. We gather to celebrate a life lived with warmth, laughter, and an endless capacity for love. Her presence lit up every room, leaving a legacy of joy and kindness. Julia's passing is preceded by her husband Moises Chavez, her sisters Theresa Garcia and Ester Lopez, Brothers Jerry Garcia, Dorotheo Marquez, her Mother Aurora and Father Perfilio Marquez and Step-father Evaristo Garcia.
She is survived by her daughters, Merlinda Chavez and Crystal Guzman; Sandra Chavez and Joe Arrellin; Roberta Kephart and Paul Kephart. Her sons, Randy Chavez, Diana Chavez, and Antonio Chavez. Grandchildren Charlotte McDougall, Efren Chavez, Julian Chavez, Stephon Chavez, Ashley Chavez, Angie Novoa, Ana Campos, Tristan Chavez, 18 great grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Also, her brothers, Ronnie Marquez, Eufemio Marquez, Joe Marquez, Evaristo Garcia, and sister Mary Barela.
Services will be Saturday April 12th from 11 to 1 p.m. at Riverside funeral home at San Mateo and Central. Reception to celebrate and remember our beloved will be at Letter Carrier Hall located around 123 Quincy NE
