Frankie "Lou" Josephine Chasteen
May 7th, 1938 - April 2nd, 2025
Frankie Josephine “Lou” Chasteen, a proud member of the Shawnee Nation, passed away on April 2, 2025, at 12:45 a.m. Born on May 7, 1938, Frankie was beloved for her quiet, reserved nature and her unwavering faith as a lifelong Christian.
Though she was not one to show her emotions openly because she was reserved, Lou’s family and friends always felt her deep and abiding love. She was preceded in death by her oldest son, Danny Lee Chasteen, and is survived by her devoted husband, Larry Martin; her son, Randy Joe Chasteen; and daughter, Kaylynn Ambrose. Lou also leaves behind five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren, who brought her immense pride and joy.
Lou carried herself with gentle dignity, honoring her Shawnee heritage and remaining steadfast to her Christian beliefs throughout her life. Her family and friends will miss her comforting presence, her quiet strength, and the subtle ways she showed how much she cared.
A memorial of Lou’s life will be held on May 9th at 1:00 pm at Calvary Chapel in Boise. Flowers can be sent to the chapel. While she may have kept her feelings close to her heart, Lou’s gentle spirit and loving devotion will live on in the memories of those who were blessed to know her.

Accent Funeral Home
A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve....
