Socorro Lara Ruiz, a woman of faith, family values and unwavering strength passed away peacefully on April 6, 2025, at the age of 85. Socorro was born in Tlahualilo, Durango Mexico May 28, 1939.  She overcame any challenge with grace and determination. She had immense faith in Jehovah God and would devoutly pray for her family daily. She was a mother and Abuelita who deeply loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her family filled her heart with much love, joy, and happiness. She was very proud of her Mexican culture! She enjoyed listening to and singing her Mexican music, telling stories about her childhood and growing up in Mexico. She was a beautiful person, full of light and joy and will forever live in our hearts. 

 

She is survived by her loving family, including her children: Yolanda Ramos, Olga Carbajal, Rosie Ruiz, Froilan Ruiz. 

8 Grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. 

 

A memorial service will be held on April 18, 2025, at 4:00pm at Wyman Cremation and Burial Chapel at 115 S Country Club Dr, Mesa, AZ 85210
