Katherine (Kathy) Louella Huntington, 45, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025 after a year of difficult health issues.
Kathy was born on April 21, 1979 in Virginia Beach, VA to Victor B. Huntington (deceased) and Lora L. (Huntington) Hopkins. Kathy was the baby of the family. She is survived by her mother Lora and sisters: Vicky, Paula, Tina, Melody, Gloria, and Farrah.
Kathy grew up in Homedale, Idaho. She went to the Cossa Red Top School in Notus, and was able to graduate due to their programs. Our great-grandma introduced Kathy to Lawrence Welk, Jeopardy!, and Wheel of Fortune. Kathy did not miss these shows very often!
Kathy participated in the Special Olympics Track & Field and bowling. She was an active member of the Aktion Club, and enjoyed helping with the fundraisers, and volunteering in the community with all her friends from the club. Kathy went to WitCo in Caldwell for more than 20 years.
Kathy never met a stranger! She would give everybody a hug, whether they wanted one or not. She loved sitting in front of the house and watching cars, the neighbors, and the children as they were getting off the bus. One of her favorite pastimes was to pick dandelions; to her they were the most beautiful.
A graveside service will be held at Marsing-Homedale Cemetery at 10a.m followed by a memorial service at Flahiff Funeral Chapel in Caldwell, to honor Kathy on May 31, 2025 at 11a.m.
