Rev. Mrs. Carlee Smith Stallard
November 20th, 1927 - April 9th, 2025
In Loving Memory
Rev. Mrs. Carlee Smith Stallard, 97, of Kernersville passed away on April 9, 2025 under the care of Kernersville Medical Center in Kernersville. Born in Norton, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Jesse and Bannie (Farmer) Smith and wife of the late Lee H. Stallard.
Carlee touched many lives. She was the Matriarch of our family. A good and faithful servant. She loved her Lord and Savior first, but her family meant the world to her. She often reminisced of the day the Lord saved her on December 28, 1948; her spiritual birthday. She was called to preach her first sermon in 1949, the message given to her by God, "When I see the blood". Rev. Carlee Stallard was one of the first women to be ordained by the Original Freewill Baptist Piedmont Conference on September 4, 1970. She was the Pastor of the House of Prayer Freewill Baptist Church for 55 years.
II Timothy 4:7 " I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith."
Carlee is survived by her children, Patty Stallard Castle, Darrell Stallard (Kathy), and Carol Stallard Hauser; her grandchildren, Krista Fuller (John), Donnie Stallard (Krista), Nikki Stallard, Zach Hauser (Mary), and Jessy Hauser; her great-grandchildren, Jordan Fuller, Kylee Stallard, Jonathan Stallard, Isaiah Hodges, Graham Hauser, Finn Hauser, and Ariana Hauser; her brother, Everette Smith; a special friend, Neal Stockton; her numerous nieces and nephews who lovingly called her "Aunt Carlee"; and her many close friends and church family, whom she loved dearly.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Donald "Don" Stallard; and her seven siblings.
The family will receive friends at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Service, 213 W. Mountain St. Kernersville NC 27284 on Tuesday, April 15th, 2025 from 1:00PM - 3:00PM. Funeral services will follow beginning at 3:00PM with Rev. Roger Motsinger, Rev. David Atkins, and Rev. Tim Burton officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Gur Cemetery, Kernersville, North Carolina.
