Doris Carol Money Hall
June 15th, 1950 - April 12th, 2025
In Loving Memory
Doris Carol Money Hall, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, teacher and friend, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on April 12, 2025 at the age of 74.
Born on June 15, 1950 in Elkin, N.C., Carol was the cherished daughter of the late D. Evelyn Brown Money and Delma Leo Money. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Ronnie D. Hall, and brother, D. Lee Money. Carol is survived by her two loving daughters, D. Candise Zimmerman and Ragan D. Hall; and her adored grandsons, Jordan C. Zimmerman and Reece D. Hall. She was a woman of deep warmth and compassion who lived a life rich with love, connection and purpose.
A dedicated educator and proud holder of a master’s degree (12 credits shy of a doctoral degree), Carol also served as an area representative for exchange students for over 20 years. She nurtured the creativity and confidence of countless children and young adults until her retirement. Her influence in the classroom and with students around the world was only further matched by her impact as a fierce advocate for the Latin community. She welcomed all into her family and home with open arms and an open heart. To many, she was simply “Mom” – a beacon of generosity, empathy, and unshakeable strength.
Carol had a zest for life, an adventure seeker to the very end. She loved to travel, salsa dance play pool, and more than anything, to spend time in her garden or shopping with her daughters. Always embracing joy even amid her many health challenges over the years, her spirit remained extraordinary, her heart boundless and open to all, and her presence unforgettable.
May she pass in peace with love, just as she lived her life – surrounded by it.
She will be dearly missed by all who knew her, but her legacy of kindness, resilience and love will live on in every life she touched.
Friends and family may sign the guestbook online at www.piercejeffersonfh.com.
