Robert "Bob" Arthur Koch
April 2nd, 1946 - April 13th, 2025
Robert Arthur Koch, 79 , of Summerville, SC, entered into rest on April 13, 2025. Bob was born in Poughkeepsie, New York, April 2, 1946. Growing up, Bob never met a stranger. His bright personality shined a light on everyone who crossed his path. After high school, he joined the Air Force and served in the Vietnam War. He remained active in the VFW and participated in lots of events throughout the years with his best friend of 14 years, Bud Wulf. Bob retired from a career working with computers for IBM in 1999, and Charleston County Schools in 2009. He and his wife of 30 years spent years traveling, relaxing and enjoying life to the fullest. Bob enjoyed sports, he supported the local high school sports, USC Gamecocks, New York Giants and he was a NASCAR fan.
Bob is survived by his wife of 30 years, Chris Koch of Summerville, SC. His brother John, wife Debbie and his sister Kathy Fisher, of New York. His son Joseph Koch, wife Erin, granddaughter Vivian, Daughter Sally Koch Moore, husband Peter, granddaughter Caroline. Step daughters Jennifer Daniels, husband James and Michelle Hensley, husband Tony, granddaughter Ava. His Sister In Laws, Barbara Owens (Rickey), Teresa Moore (Jimmy), Janet Kowalczyk (Terry) and many nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his brother Chuck Koch, his mother Muriel and Father John.
A Memorial Service for Bob will be held Wednesday, April 16, 11:00 The First Presbyterian Church in Moncks Corner, SC Family will receive visitors at the church 10:30 before the service. In lieu of flowers please send donations in Bob’s honor to The National Kidney Foundation of Charleston SC.
