Shareen Molnar, born on June 12, 1947, in Cleveland, Ohio, passed away peacefully on March 19, 2025, at the age of 77. At the time of her passing, Shareen resided in Punta Gorda, Florida, a place she had called home since 1971 after moving from her birthplace with her beloved husband, Johnnie Molnar.

Shareen was a moderately religious woman who embraced her Catholic faith, which guided her throughout her life. Her journey began in Cleveland, where she married the love of her life, Johnnie Molnar. Together, they built a life filled with love and cherished memories, eventually settling in Punta Gorda, Florida, where they continued to nurture their family.

Her life was full of achievement, adventure and challenges that she faced head on with enthusiasm, a smile and a lot of grit. In her teens she was the youngest female at the time to have taken the Cleveland Police Officer Civil Service test and passed the test achieving the highest score. Shareen was a great basketball player in her school days and as a mom she would often challenge her kids to a game of 21 and she rarely lost. Soon after her youngest child was born, she embarked on a successful career in nursing. Shareen spent over 30 years as a registered nurse specializing in mental health. She treated her coworkers and patients like family with love, kindness and respect always. She loved the outdoors going camping, fishing, diving in the keys and multiple trips to Disney with her children and grandchildren. Family was at the heart of everything Shareen did. Known for her loving nature, she took great joy in staying connected with her loved ones, often reaching out just to check in and share a kind word. Her devotion to her family was evident in her relationships, as she prioritized their happiness and well-being above all else. Shareen’s selflessness and commitment to helping others was an inspiration to all who knew her. She was a beloved member of the community, whose life was a testament to kindness, generosity, and dedication.

Shareen was predeceased by her father, Harold W. Gircsis, her mother, Marie L. Becka-Gircsis, and her sister, Karen Bovard (Bill).  Shareen is survived by her sister Laine Merron (Frank), and her brother, Harold “Skip” Gircsis Jr. (Sonja). She leaves behind a legacy of love through her surviving family: her devoted husband, Johnnie Molnar; her daughter, Randi Coffey (Mike); her sons, Johnnie Molnar Jr. (Rebecca) and Joseph Molnar (Jennifer); as well as 12 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, numerous extended family members and friends who will continue to honor her memory.A funeral service to celebrate Shareen's life will be held on May 3, 2025, at 10:00am, held at the Charlotte Memorial Gardens Funeral Home in Punta Gorda 9400 Indian Springs Cemetery Rd. Family and friends are invited to gather immediately following the services at a local establishment to share memories and remember the warmth and kindness that Shareen brought into their lives. In this time of mourning, Shareen's family finds comfort in the love and support of those who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known her, and her spirit will continue to inspire all who loved her.

Though She is no longer with us, her spirit will forever remain watching over us. Let us honor her memory by living our lives with the same kindness, compassion, and dedication that she exemplified every day.
