"Knitting: the art of tangled wisdom." ~ Unknown

Carol Keith Osborne, of Nickelsville, VA passed away on Sunday, April 13, 2025.  Carol was born on January 6, 1943, in Dante, VA to Vernon and Mabel Keith.  In 1967, Carol married the love of her life, Kyle Osborne, and after 20 years of a beautiful life together, Kyle preceded her in death on May 9, 1987.

Carol enjoyed working in her flower garden and spending time with her family.  She also enjoyed basket weaving, sewing, and knitting.  The threads of love that Carol sewed within her family’s life are threads that will never fray.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Kyle Osborne; and one sister, Kathy Glovier.  Those left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Kevin Smallwood and love of his life, DD Jacobs, and Mark Osborne and wife, Jean; one daughter, Heather Osborne and her loving partner, Christopher Burns; granddaughter, Hallie Osborne; five sisters, Elaine Wiser, Evelyn Gaye Brown, Martha Ketron and husband, Larry, Cheryl Trivette, and Rebecca Bryant and husband, Joe; three brothers, Vernon Keith Jr., Nathan H. Dingus, and Ray Dingus and wife, Terri; and many loving nieces, nephews, and other family members.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to an animal shelter of your choice.

To celebrate Carol’s life, a graveside service will be held on Friday, April 18, 2025, at 11:00 am at Grassy Creek Cemetery.  Those wishing to attend the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery at 10:50 am.
