Tony Fortune

Tony Fortune, Glendale, AZ, age 57 passed away peacefully in his sleep on March 14, 2025. Tony leaves behind his son Anthony James Fortune, aka (TJ), Mother Linda, Sister Brenda Hinkemeyer (Keith), Brother Bill (Christine) and sister Geri Fortune, half Brother Michael Davis (Vivian), best friend Bill Hoover and JR Altamirano, nieces Amanda, Jessica, Jennifer, nephews David, Thomas, Billy many cousins, aunts, uncles, friends and co-workers. Tony was the beloved son of Linda and Howard Fortune, born June 19, 1967 in Coon Rapids Mn and went to primary school in Northeast Minneapolis, then moved to Annandale to continue middle school and some high school before the family moved to Arizona in summer of 1984. Tony then graduated from Moon Valley High School in 1985. 

Tony’s first job was working at McDonald in Buffalo, Mn. Which made it easy for him to work at McDonald’s after moving to Arizona. After high school Tony began working in the auto mechanic industry which he continued for the next 38 years and was proud to be considered a Master Mechanic. Tony said, if you take care of your customers and do the right thing they will continue to come back to you. 

Tony enjoyed the outdoors, fishing with family at Sugar Lake, Lake Osakis, Mille Lacs, Upper Red Lake, Lake of the Woods and Roosevelt Lake, camping, hunting and spending time with family. Tony also loved to bobber fish and brought up the idea every chance he could.  Creator of the Sunday Selfie on the family group chat brought the family together more and allowed the family to see a snapshot into everyone’s daily lives. Tony loved his Mountain Dew as well as steak, baked potatoes, venison, fish, goulash, blt’s, spaghetti, hamburgers, fried chicken, sugar cookies, pretty much anything his mother made. He had his favorite restaurants as well, Manuel’s, Lucky’s Pizza, China Place, Ronnie’s Café, Romanelli’s, The Place, Pizza Hut and Dairy Queen.  

Tony will forever be missed by his family, friends and all that knew him. A celebration of life will be held Saturday May 3rd starting at 11:00 am, Linda Fortune’s home 5316 W. Christy Drive, Glendale, AZ 85304.
