It is with deep sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved son, brother, and uncle, Thao Van Le, on April 2, 2025, at the age of 55.
Thao was cherished by all who knew him. He embodied the very best of his family, with a kind and radiant spirit that shone through in everything he did. A devoted son, brother, and uncle, he worked tirelessly throughout his life, never asking for more than he gave. Above all, he was guided by a deep sense of integrity and an unwavering commitment to doing the right thing.
In 1975, Thao immigrated to America with his father, brothers, and sisters, carrying the weight of displacement and loss. The siblings supported one another as they navigated a new life in an unfamiliar land. Though Thao’s parents passed years ago, we know that they are now at peace alongside God, who has called him back into their loving embrace.
Now, he can finally receive the peace and rest his kind and selfless heart so deeply deserved after a lifetime of hardship.
Thao’s warmth, kindness, and dedication will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
Dear Uncle and Brother Thao, we do not know how to live in a world where you no longer exist, but we find comfort in knowing you can finally smile again—that smile we love so much.

We Entrusted Thao Le's Care To
Healey Mortuary
At Healey, we treat our Salinas Valley community members like family. Our story begins after World War II when Veteran Herbert C. Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
