Judy Lee Love, a devoted mother, adoring grandmother, and cherished friend, passed away peacefully on April 2, 2025, at her home in Eagle, Idaho. She was 81.

Born on January 28, 1944, at Saint Valentine’s Hospital in Wendell, Idaho, Judy was the daughter of Theodocia Briggs Love and Richard Raeburn Love. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Jerry Love, and her sister Joan Linck.

Judy’s memory lives on through her beloved son, Todd Anderson, and her treasured grandson, Carson Anderson—her pride and joy. Judy shared a deep and special bond with Carson. She was his biggest fan, attending countless games, events, and milestones, always cheering him on with pride and love. Carson brought endless light into her life, and she was endlessly proud of the young man he has become.

A graduate of the University of Idaho in 1966, Judy was a proud member of the Alpha Phi Sorority, where she formed lifelong friendships. Her career took her to San Francisco, where she began working at the Hilton Hotel in 1967. While in San Francisco, Judy met Albert “Duke” Anderson, whom she married in 1968 in Buhl, Idaho. The two later divorced in 1986. From 1971 to 1974, she shared her passion for education as a teacher at Booth Memorial Hospital. Later, she worked for the Boise City Chamber of Commerce before becoming an entrepreneur and starting her own successful secretarial business, which she ran for 18 years.

Judy was known for her vibrant personality, quick wit, artistic flair, and infectious laughter. Her greatest joy was simply being with her family, especially Carson, whose every achievement she celebrated with genuine and warm enthusiasm.

A heartfelt thank you goes to her caregiver, Diana Parks, who became a dear friend over the past few years. Diana’s compassion and care brought Judy comfort and peace in her final weeks and days.

A Celebration of Life will be held on April 23, 2025, at 11:30 AM at Summers Funeral Home on Ustick Road in Meridian, Idaho. Friends and family are invited to honor Judy’s beautiful life; a life filled with love, laughter, and an enduring legacy. After the ceremony, everyone is invited to stay for a reception.

Judy Love will be remembered for her generous heart, unwavering spirit, and the joy she brought to all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished.
