Glenn Bradley Odegard, 94, passed away peacefully March 19, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of humor, generosity, and kindness that will be remembered by all who knew him. Glenn was born with a quick wit, a generous heart, and a gentleman’s spirit, all of which he shared freely throughout his life.

Glenn was born in Hamer, North Dakota in February 1931.  He joined the United States Air Force in 1950 and served in both the Korean and VietNam Wars.. His service took him to many places, but it was in Tucson, Arizona, where he met the love of his life, Mary Ellen. They were married in 1954, embarking on a beautiful 71-year marriage full of love, laughter, and adventure. Together, they spent ten years living overseas in Frankfort, Germany; Crete, Greece; and the Philippine Islands before Glenn retired after 22 years of service in the Air Force in 1972 as a Senior Mastersargent (E-8).

After his military career, Glenn worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Tucson for 20 years, retiring in 1993. He had the great fortune of working alongside his oldest daughter for several of those years, a time he cherished deeply.

Glenn’s wife and family were always his priority, and he devoted his life to their happiness and well-being. He was preceded in death by his beloved granddaughter, Danielle Cote, his parents (Rupert and Anne) and four brothers.. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Ellen; four children, Glenda Vega (George), Brad Odegard (Kellie), Charles Odegard (Patti), and Laurie Cote (Doug); eleven grandchildren, Georgina Preston (Michael), Gregory Vega (Emily), Gabrielle Lepkowski (Casey), Geoffrey Vega (Anita), David Odegard (Elizabeth), Kathryn Odegard, Erika Cote, Nathan Odegard, Nick Odegard, Ella Odegard; twelve great-grandchildren, Annabelle, Landon, Theodore, Carter Lepkowski, Luke and Caleb Odegard, George and Jordan Vega, Adrian Armstrong, Axel Cote-Manning, Nora, and Evan O'Brien, as well as one great-grandchild on the way.

Glenn’s life was a testament to the values of faith, service, love, and family. He will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and all those who had the honor of knowing him.
