Eden "Edie" (Showers) Wetherley
September 12th, 1947 - February 13th, 2025
Edie, the only child of Betty & Charles Showers, was born in Williamsport, Pennsylvania and passed away in Melbourne, Florida. She married Robert in 1967, and they traveled extensively during his USAF career. Her 35 years of Federal Civil Service included Keesler AFB, Mississippi; Hickam AFB, Hawaii; the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado; and NASA, at the Kennedy Space Center in Florida, where she retired in 2009.
Edie was the final leaf on her family tree, but she made up for that with several longtime friends dating to their early grade school days, others from high school, plus more with Robert's family and among her many neighbors and coworkers. All who really knew Edie knew her greatest joy was for her many fur babies. She would ask you to please support your local animal shelters.
