Sergio Luis Sanchez

With broken hearts, we share the passing of Sergio Luis Sanchez, who left us far too soon on March 31, 2025, at the age of 24. 

Sergio was born in Yuba City, CA, to Marie Branum and Jose "Pepe" Sanchez, on January 3, 2001.

From the very beginning, he carries a bright, unforgettable spirit. He was energetic and full of life, which brought so much happiness to everyone around him. 

Sergio has a big heart and an even bigger personality, charming, strong, and wise beyond his years. He would light up an entire room with his smile and leave you laughing with his humor.

Sergio lived with intensity and passion. He was a proud Commercial driver with Deluxe Transport, where he found family and comfort within his fleet, finding freedom and pride on the open road.

He loved living life on his terms. One of his greatest joys came from riding his Harley. Being on his bike was more than just a hobby, it was his peace, thrill, and his own expression of freedom. 

The road called to him and he would answer with courage and joy, always chasing the horizon with a deep love for Adventure.

He was a helper by nature, and was always ready to lift others up. If you needed him, he was there.

He often reminded those around him of his confidence and drive with his favorite words, "I'm the best to do it." In so many ways, he truly was. 

Sergio's faith in God was quiet but a steady part of who he was. He believed in purpose, grace, and strength beyond what we can see. In both good times and struggles, he trusted that God had a plan for him.

"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, and I have remained faithful." 2 Timothy 4:7.

Sergio was preceded in death by his father, Jose "Pepe" Sanchez. He is survived by his loving mother, Marie Branum; sister, Paris Branum-Williams; brother, Julian Williams; and his nephews, Julian and Elijah Williams.

Sergio's presence was a gift to this world. He will forever be deeply missed and remembered for the laughter he shared, the strength he carries, and his unconditional love he gave so freely. His journey on earth may have ended here, but his spirit will forever ride on.

Segio's funeral will be on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Ullrey Memorial Chapel in Yuba City, CA.
