John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life."
With heavy hearts and deep gratitude for her life, we announce the passing of Sheila Braddock, a cherished girlfriend, sister, aunt, friend, and beacon of love, who departed this life peacefully on Monday, April 9th, 2025, at the age of 66.
Born on November 5, 1958, Sheila made Atlanta, Georgia, her home and the heart of her world. She was a woman of quiet strength, deep faith, and endless compassion—a nurturing soul who made everyone around her feel seen, safe, and loved.
Sheila is survived by her boyfriend Bernie McNeese, her sister Patrice Braddock, her niece Latricia Braddock, and great-niece Ola Braddock, who will forever carry her legacy of grace, patience, and unconditional love. She is also remembered fondly by her church family at Zion Baptist Church, a close-knit circle of friends, and countless others whose lives she touched.
A lover of life’s simple joys, Sheila found beauty in everyday moments. She had a gift for turning ordinary days into something special—with her warm smile, a kind word, and her unmatched ability to truly listen. Whether she was tending to her garden, cooking a family meal, or offering quiet encouragement, Sheila’s presence brought peace.
Sheila spent 25 years as a pre-school teacher at KinderCare Learning Center, where she was admired for her dedication, integrity, and humility. Outside of work, she was passionate about sewing, spreading the word of God, and always made time to uplift others—never seeking praise, only purpose.
Sheila Braddock leaves behind a legacy not of possessions or accolades, but of love, strength, and steady presence. Her memory will forever live in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her.
A celebration of Sheila’s life will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at Zion Baptist Church, where we will honor her with stories, laughter, and the kind of love she gave so freely.
