Robert Gregg Sanders, Jr.

Robert Gregg Sanders, Jr., 68, of Midland, NC passed away from natural causes on Thursday, March 27, 2025 at his home. Gregg was born on April 2, 1956 in Charlotte, NC, the son of the late Robert “Bob” Sanders and Frances Gulledge Sanders.

Gregg grew up in Charlotte, was a 1975 graduate of Myers Park High School and attended Wingate College.  Known for his quick wit and sense of humor, Gregg was an avid tennis player in his early years.  He worked in the building materials industry which allowed for his true passions of hunting and fishing at his farm in Midland where he had raised ostriches and poinsettias.  He could regularly be seen wearing Carolina Tar Heel blue during basketball season or Florida Gator orange on college football Saturdays.  You could count on a fire burning in the fireplace every winter night.  

Gregg provided a warm and safe home for his family and cherished his children Robb and Jess who will miss him dearly.  Having been predeceased by his sister Fran Fodel, Gregg is survived by his mother Frances Sanders, children Robert Gregg Sanders III and Jessica Sanders (Austin Giordano) along with his precious granddaughters Adeline and Amelia Giordano.
