On Saturday, April 12, 2025, Regina Ann Murphy—a loving daughter, sister, aunt, and friend—passed away surrounded by her family, with the grace and strength that defined her life.

Regina was born on June 6, 1977, to James and Denise Murphy (Olivier). She graduated from North Rockland High School and went on to earn a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. Regina loved living in NYC during her college years, as it allowed her to indulge in two of her greatest passions: art and fine dining.

Her lifelong love for the arts began at a young age, inspired by her grandmother, Francesca. Throughout her life, Regina enjoyed creating original paintings and works of art, which she often gifted to family and friends for their homes and offices.

Regina was also an exceptional cook and an avid foodie. She loved hosting dinners and preparing elegant meals for her beloved guests. Her warm spirit and vibrant personality made everyone around her feel at ease and welcome.

She was a woman of many talents and interests, which contributed to her success in both the graphic design and real estate industries. Regina had a deep passion for helping families achieve their dreams of homeownership, leading to a highly successful real estate career.

In addition to art and entertainment, Regina enjoyed laughing with her siblings, spending time by the ocean, listening to live music, traveling abroad, reconnecting with friends, and watching Jeopardy. Most of all, she adored spoiling her niece and nephews, who lovingly called her “Zia.”

Regina was a compassionate and generous soul, dedicating her time and energy to several charitable causes, including those supporting animal shelters and assisting individuals with special needs.

Though her life was cut short, Regina accomplished so much and touched the lives of many. She will be remembered for her creativity, warmth, and unwavering love.

She is survived by her parents, Denise and Jim Murphy; her sister, Kristen (Bryan) Duroy; her brothers, James (Angelica) Murphy and Michael Murphy; her cherished nephews, Luke, Cole, Derrick, and Romeo; and her beloved niece, Maeve. She also leaves behind her new puppy, Ruby Mae, along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

Regina will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

The family will receive friends and relatives on Monday, April 21, from 4 to 8 p.m. at T.J. McGowan’s Funeral Home, 71 N. Central Highway, Garnerville, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 22, at 11 a.m. at St. Gregory Barbarigo Church, 21 Cinder Road, Garnerville, NY, followed by burial at St. Anthony’s Cemetery in Nanuet, NY.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Regina’s name to your local animal shelter.
