Duaine Wagner
September 16th, 1940 - April 12th, 2025
Duaine M. Wagner, age 84, of Waukesha, passed away peacefully on April 12, 2025. Born in Sparta, Wisconsin on September 16, 1940, Duaine was the beloved son of the late Myron and Dorothy Wagner.
A proud United States Marine, Duaine served his country from 1958 to 1962. On March 3, 1962, he married the love of his life, Joyce, and together they built a life grounded in love, family, and faith. Duaine had a deep passion for the outdoors—he enjoyed hunting, fishing, and cheering on his favorite sports teams, especially the Green Bay Packers and Milwaukee Brewers. But more than anything, Duaine cherished time spent with his family. He was a devoted husband, a proud father, grandfather, and great grandfather, and a friend to many.
He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Joyce; his children, Duaine (Kristine) Jr., Darrell, Brenda (Shawn) Mueller, Daniel, and Tony; grandchildren, Alexander Wagner, Rachael (Parker) Eastman, Tanya Dittman, Tiffany Meyer, Brianna Wagner, Jessica Wagner, Hunter Wagner, and Taylor Wagner; and 13 great-grandchildren. He is further survived by his brother Alan, sister-in-law Barbara and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends. Duaine was preceded in death by his parents, grandson Anthony, son-in-law Anthony, brother Gary, and sister-in-law Susie.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 12:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, 1052 White Rock Ave, Waukesha, WI 53186. Burial will follow at Prairie Home Cemetery with full military honors.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Duaine’s name are appreciated to Trinity Lutheran Church. Duaine’s legacy of strength, love, and unwavering commitment to family will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him
