Beers and Story - Palmer
Patricia A. Wozniakowski
December 24th, 1942 - April 15th, 2025
In Loving Memory
Bondsville- Patricia Ann (Kozlik) Wozniakowski , 82, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2025 after a three year battle with ALS. She was born on December 24, 1942, in Palmer, to the late Lawrence and Stephanie (Stolarz) Kozlik of Bondsville. After graduating from Palmer High School, Patricia obtained her nursing diploma at the Springfield Hospital School of Nursing. Soon after, while Polka dancing at Forest Lake, she met the love of her life, Francis (Ozzie) Wozniakowski. They were blessed with 55 years of marriage, and two children. Patricia spent forty years in nursing, twenty at Baystate Wing in various roles and twenty more as an Occupational Health Nurse (COHN) for the USPS in Springfield. Patricia loved life. She loved her family, friends, church and community and had a special love for veterans. Slow to anger and quick with a joke, she was a Babci, a Cioci and a friend to everyone she met. She rarely failed to make a stranger smile. She loved Polish music and Polka dancing, cooking and baking, decorating, tending her flowers, sending cards and making silly gifts. Although she never moved from Palmer, she and Francis enjoyed a second home in Vermont and were fortunate to have been able to travel quite extensively, particularly enjoying their yearly trips to Aruba where they found a second 'family'.
Besides her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her loving husband, Francis L. Wozniakowski; brother, Lawrence Kozlik and sister, Christine (Kozlik) Lajzer.
She will be dearly missed by her children, Lynne (Wozniakowski) Rahim and husband Irfan, and Scott Wozniakowski and partner Mary Morin; her four grandchildren, Sophia Rahim, Isabela Rahim, Samuel Wozniakowski, and Anna Wozniakowski. She also leaves her brother, Mark Kozlik, and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2025 from 4-7pm at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home. Family and friends are welcome to gather at the funeral home on April 25, 2025 at 9am for a funeral procession to Patricia's Funeral Mass at Divine Mercy Parish at 10am. Burial will immediately follow in Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family asks that donations in Patricia's memory be made to the ALS Association at www.als.org or via check made payable to The ALS Association, 1300 Wilson Blvd. Suite 600 Arlington, VA 22209.
