Elliott "Van" J. VanAntwerp
April 25th, 1948 - April 15th, 2025
Elliott J. Van Antwerp, 76, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Nathan Littauer Hospital.
Born on April 25, 1948, in Amsterdam, a son of the late Harry and Janice (Palmateer) Van Antwerp. A 1966 graduate of Amsterdam High School and a graduate of FMCC. Van worked various jobs throughout his life, he retired from Noteworthy in Amsterdam.
Van was an avid member of 4-H and a strong supporter of first responders, military and medical professionals. Most of all, Van was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and a friend to so many who will all greatly miss him.
Van was predeceased by his loving wife, Sherry (Brown) Van Antwerp.
Survivors include his daughter, Valerie Van Antwerp; son, Elliott D. Van Antwerp (Brianna); brother, Clifton Van Antwerp; sister, Aleta Van Antwerp; grandchildren, Christopher, Mya, Alannah and Riley.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at 2pm at Evergreen Cemetery, Fonda.
Van’s care has been entrusted to Betz, Rossi, Bellinger & Stewart Family Funeral Home, 15 Main Street, Fultonville.
