Jeanne M. Young

Jeanne passed away peacefully at her home in Meridian, Idaho on April 4, 2025, with her husband, Tom by her side after her third battle with breast cancer. Jeanne was born in Los Angeles, CA on November 1, 1944, and grew up in Great Falls, MT and Whittier, CA. Upon graduation from high school, she attended San Jose State University. She married Tom on July 1, 1978, in San Jose and shortly after, they moved to the Napa Valley where they lived for 30 years. Jeanne’s career in accounting included working for several wineries in Napa and Sonoma Counties and later moving into an Accounting Manager’s position for Solano and Napa County Superior Courts, retiring in 2006. Jeanne’s greatest joy was when her grandchildren and great grandchildren were born. Family gatherings were a big part of her life as well as traveling. Especially trips to Hawaii.

In 2021 Jeanne and Tom moved to Twin Falls, Idaho and then to Meridian, Idaho in 2023.

Jeanne is survived by her husband of 46 years, Tom of Meridian, Idaho, Son, Jim (Jolie) of Fairfield, CA, Daughter Karen (Charlie) of Santa Rosa, CA, Daughter-in-Law, Jennifer of Fairfield, CA. Grandchildren, Michael, Aimee, Kayla, Alex, Monica and Kaitlyn and Great Grandchildren, Aria and Jett. She also leaves behind her beloved Boston Terrier, Sophie who almost never left her side during her illness.

Jeanne was pre-deceased in death by her youngest son, Matthew in December 2024, parents, Frank and Genevieve White, brothers, Richard White, Michael White and Raymond White.

A lifelong Catholic, a Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Apostles Catholic Church in Meridian, Idaho on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, with a rosary at 10:00 a.m., Mass at 11:00 a.m. followed by committal at Meridian cemetery.

Donations in her name to the American Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
