May 30th, 1939 - March 15th, 2025
Howard Shookhoff was born on May 30, 1939, and passed away on March 15, 2025. As a young man, Howard stayed at a kibbutz in Israel. That is where he met his wife, Mary Lou (Dewey) Shookhoff. They were married on September 4, 1976.
He later owned another sailboat when they moved to northern Virginia, which he moored in Occoquan, VA. They lived for many years in Fairlington Villages in Arlington, VA.
Howard’s career included working for a hospital in Ithaca as well as one of the agencies of New York City.
Mary Lou and Howard were members of Blessed Sacrament Church, in Alexandria, VA, as well as Our Lady Queen of Peace in Arlington, VA.
Mary Lou preceded him in death on May 15, 2024. Howard will be interred next to his wife in Columbia Gardens Cemetery, Arlington, VA.
