Robert Leroy Condit, Sr.

Robert “Bob” Leroy Condit Sr. passed away on April 5, 2025, at the Solista Independent Living retirement community Colorado Springs. He was 89.  

Robert was born October 1, 1935, to Chester Leroy Condit and Corda Belle (Johnson) Condit in Enid, Oklahoma.  He was born deaf and attended Oklahoma State school for the deaf. Upon graduation in 1956 from High School he moved to California. He met his first wife there and had 3 children. He did various jobs such as dry cleaner, pallet builder and becoming a plumbing apprentice and later a journeyman. 

He left his family to pursue higher education in 1971.He attended Golden West in Huntington Beach CA. He received an associate’s degree. He then transferred to California State University Northridge where he received his bachelor’s degree. He went on to become a CPA. He then joined the United States Postal Service. He retired from there in 2001 and moved to Peyton Colorado. He has lived in Colorado for 24 years. In 2023 he sold his house and moved to Colorado Springs to the Holiday (Solista) retirement community.  

He was proceeded in death by his parents and siblings, brother Leonard Condit and sisters Malissa Lincicome and Sharon Condit. As well as his daughter Darine Stallings and son Rodney Condit. He is survived by his son Robert Condit Jr as well as 5 nieces and 1 nephew and 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.  

A celebration of life will be held at Springs Funeral Services North chapel at 4310 Austin Bluffs Parkway Colorado Springs, CO. 80918. The service will be on April 25 at 1:00 p.m. He will be interred at Rose Hills Memorial  Park Whitter, CA. at a date to be determined later.
