"At this time I'm in heaven with my heavenly Father. Don't weep sadly for me, but celebrate my life and look forward to meeting me one day in the future." Sue
Myrtle Sue Ratliff, born on June 13, 1942 in Tygart, Kentucky, left for her eternal home on April 13, 2025 in Newberg, Oregon. She was the beloved Mother to her daughters, treasured Grandma to many grandchildren, and delighted Gigi for a good number of great-grandchildren.
Sue was an abiding light in the lives of her family and friends. While her journey on this earth was marked by many challenges, she faced them with an unwavering faith in God. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of family and friends - all who knew her will miss her smile, her warm interest in their lives, and her prayers for their well-being.
Sue is survived by her loving daughters, Melinda Clark and Melissa Meyer, as well as her dear sister Patsy Murray. She was the cherished Grandmother of Aaron Baca, Rebecca Baca, Ashley Turner, Timothy Baca, Michael Baca, Letha Clark, Nate Spencer-VIckery, Marguerite Redelfs and Madeleine Meyer. She is also survived by great-grandchildren of whom she was quite fond and always wanted to visit with even the youngest. Sue also leaves behind a great number of extended family members and friends for whom she was a favored aunt, a loving friend and a dear confidant.
An internment service for family to honor Sue Ratliff will be held May 9, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Crescent Grove Cemetery, 9925 SW Greenburg Road, Tigard, Oregon.
Flowers are accepted or donations can be given to The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
