Theresa Simone Murray
August 24th, 1934 - April 20th, 2025
Theresa Simone Murray, born Pepin on August 24, 1934, in Chicopee, MA, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2025, at the Arbors in Westfield. She was a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and her warm spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege to know her. Theresa was the cherished daughter of Harvey Pepin and Mandonna (Levielle), both of whom preceded her in death. She was united in marriage to Robert Murray, who also passed away earlier, along with their son, Wayne, both in 2022. Theresa is survived by her daughter Michelle Murray and her partner Karen Marquis, as well as her loving , Annette and Diane. Theresa was one of 14 children. She delighted in the company of her grandchildren, Robert and Catherine, and five great-grandchildren, who brought her endless joy. After growing up in Chicopee, she lived there until 1979, Theresa then moved to Pelham, where she continued to dedicate herself to the service of others. She worked compassionately as a nurse's aide in geriatrics at the Holyoke Medical Center and later contributed her effort as a custodian for the Chicopee Public Schools. Theresa's commitment to her community extended beyond her professional life; she was an active volunteer at Western Mass Elder Care, offering her time and love to those in need. As a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi, Theresa was deeply involved in her church community. She found solace and joy in her faith, particularly in her love for her rosary beads, which reflected her devotion. A Memorial Mass will be held in her honor at St. Francis of Assisi, where family and friends will gather to celebrate her life and legacy on April 28, 2025 at 11am. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the church, a testament to her unwavering commitment to faith and community. Theresa's life was a tapestry woven with love, compassion, and dedication, and she leaves behind a legacy that will not be forgotten.
