Lisa Ann Weishaup
June 4th, 1965 - April 12th, 2025
Lisa Ann Weishaup passed away peacefully at home on April 12, 2025. Lisa was born in Longmont, CO on June 04, 1965 to Richard Topping and Kathryn Topping. Lisa ended up settling in Loveland as a young adult with her then husband Charles Murphy. There she gave birth to their two sons, Joshua and Brandon Murphy for whom she was a stay at home mom. Lisa ended up finding the love of her life, her future husband Matt Weishaup, in 2005 at a friend’s Halloween party and they were married in 2007. Together, they made a home in Platteville, CO with their dog Sammie Weishaup.
Anyone who met Lisa instantly became her friend, and in many cases an adopted family member. Once you were a friend of Lisa’s she would do anything for you. She loved people, especially her people. The only things she may have loved more are her dogs, coffee, and Eeyore. After Matt introduced her to stock car racing she immediately fell in love with it. Lisa and Matt would frequent the track in Erie, and take trips to see races in other states. Her other beloved hobby was crochet. She was constantly making hats, scarves, blankets, slippers, and whatever she could find on Pinterest. Like every person, Lisa’s life was full of bumps and pitfalls. The main difference with her was that no matter what happened she loved life and surrounded herself with everything she loved; her people, her dogs, her hobbies, and her Eeyore.
Lisa was preceded in death by her father Richard Topping. Lisa was survived by her husband Matt Weishaup, her son Joshua Murphy, her son Brandon Murphy, her mother Kathryn Topping, her sister Lori Topping, Lori’s sons Derrick Jones and Davion Hawthorne, her brother Brian Topping, and Brian’s son Torrey Miller-Topping.
A celebration of life will be held at the Chilson Recreation Center in Loveland, CO in the Cherry Room on the senior center side at 11:30am on April 26, 2025.
