Jo Ann O'Rourke

Jo Ann O’Rourke, 71, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on Friday, April 11, 2025. She was born in Clovis, New Mexico in 1953 to Charles and Violet Beavers. 

A beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Jo, affectionately known as Momma O, will always be remembered for her kindness and devotion to her family. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother; she adored her children and grandchildren and showered them with love. She was known for her generous and kind heart, and love of Elvis Presley. She was the heart and soul of the family, and she will be dearly missed.

Jo moved to Albuquerque and took a job at a laundromat where she met the love of her life, Kevin O’Rourke. They married shortly thereafter.

Jo was preceded in death by her daughter, Vanessa, parents Charles and Violet, sister Bonnie Griffin, and brother David Beavers, and is survived by her husband of 42 years, Kevin, her sons Billy Rice and wife Stephanie, and Robert Rice and wife Michele, her grandchildren Jakob, Sophia, and Noah, her sister Sue Woodard, and her brother Burly Sheckler.

Interment and service will be held on Wednesday, April 23rd at 11 am at Mountain View Cemetery, 1343 Martinez Road, Moriarty, New Mexico 87035.
