Hector Duhaylungsod Caroro, Sr.
November 14th, 1958 - April 13th, 2025
It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the passing of Hector Duhaylungsod Caroro Sr, 66, of Salinas, California on April 13th surrounded by his loving wife, children, and grandchildren after his battle with cancer. Hector Caroro Sr. was born November 14, 1958 in Siquijor, Philippines to Marino and Sulpicia Caroro. Hector Sr. was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, known for his charisma, humor, generosity, resilience, and wisdom. Hector Sr. spent 25 years working in the trade, mastering his skills in carpentry, where he was respected and adored by his colleagues. Hector Sr. found passions in singing, performing music, and often found peace by spending his weekends fishing. Hector Sr. will forever be remembered most his ability to light up a room with his smile and laughter. He is survived by his loving wife Annie Caroro whom he was married to for 44 years, children: Redentor, Hector Jr., Ryleen, Jeeven, and John Roi, grandchildren: Devon, Derik, Jaelyn, Troy, and Penelope. A funeral service will be held on May 6th 10am at Madonna Del Sasso Catholic Church with the Garden of Memories to follow. His legacy of love, strength, and compassion will live on in all who knew him.

Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
