Michael Owen Mackin
March 19th, 1946 - April 20th, 2025
Michael Owen Mackin, age 79, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2025. He is survived by his daughter, Angie Stamper (Anthony), and his granddaughters, Shelby (17) and Presley (13). He is preceded in death by his Father (Owen) and Mother (Ruby Williams Banks), his sister Donna Breslin and a special companion Shirley Posey.
Born on March 19, 1946, in Baltimore, Maryland, Michael moved to Kentucky as a young boy. He spent his formative years in Louisville before later settling in Lexington and, eventually, Lebanon.
A lifelong musician, Michael was known throughout Kentucky for his remarkable talents of both piano and guitar. Whether performing rock and roll, country, or gospel, his music brought joy to countless audiences across the state.
He will be remembered not only for his musical gifts but for his warmth, humor, and love for his family and friends.
Clark Legacy Center of Nicholasville will handle a Gather and Remember Service Friday 4/25 between 1-4.
