Johanna Clancy Hislope
August 16th, 1958 - April 17th, 2025
Johanna Clancy Hislope, 66, passed away on Thursday morning, April 17, 2025, after an extended illness. Hanna was born in Lexington, Ky on August 16, 1958 to Thomas Clancy and Irma Key Clancy. She is survived by her husband, Mike Hislope, and her son, Seth Hislope. She is also survived by her sisters Mona Howe and Rebecca Duncan. She was preceded in death by her parents and by her brother, Richard Xavier.
Hanna attended Eastern Kentucky University and graduated from the University of Kentucky College of Pharmacy. She practiced as a community pharmacist for 33 years.
Hanna loved to travel, especially to England, France, and Maine. She also loved British mysteries, reading and watching them frequently. Hanna was a very generous person and loved to bestow gifts on anyone having a baby shower, wedding, or any other event in their lives. She frequently purchased gifts “just in case”. She was loving and loved and will be greatly missed.
A gathering will be held on April 26, 2025, at 12:30 PM at the Clark Legacy Center-Brannon Crossing in honor of Johanna followed by a brief ceremony at 1:30PM.
