Jessica Anne Burke

Jessica Anne Burke 42, passed away on March 24, 2025 in Aurora, Colorado after a significant fall.  She was born on Nov 7, 1982 in Boulder, Colorado.  Jessica lived a life marked by courage, faith and deep love for her family and the world around her. 

After graduating, Jessica answered a profound call to serve by enlisting in the United States Navy.  She was commissioned to the USS George Washington based out of Norfolk, VA which later became the first ship to arrive on scene after 9/11.  She later served on the USS Pickeney.  Her time in the Navy was defined by dedication and bravery until a tragic bus accident during her service claimed the lives of five of her shipmates and left Jesssica with life changing injuries. 

Jessica's strength extended fat beyond her military service.  She held an unwavering faith in Jesus that guided her through life's challenges and joys alike.  Her sweet nature and boundless curiosity touched everyone that knew her.  She found joy in family, music, reading, her faith, all animals and the beauty of nature-each a reflection of her gentle spirit and open heart.

She is lovingly remembered by her mother Susan, her siblings Morgan, Michele, Dave, her PopPop Bill as well as many Uncles, Aunties, cousins, nieces and nephews. 

Jessica was proceeded in death by her father Bill Burke her Auntie Patti and all of her grandparents.

Jessica's legacy is one of resilience, compassion and faith.  May her memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved here.
