January 24th, 1945 - April 16th, 2025
Michael D. Williams, 80, of Aburndale, FL(formerly of Augusta, MO)passed away on April 16, 2025 at Lakeland Regional Hospital, Lakeland, Fl surrounded by loved ones.
Michael was born on Jan 24th, 1945 in Eugene, Oregon. On Jan. 23rd, 1985 he married Bonnie Williams, who preceded him in death on Oct. 23rd 2024.
Michael attended West Point, served 4 years in United States Army, went to college and earned his Master's Degree in English. After serving his country and completing college Michael became a Pilot and flew for Ozark Airlines, TWA, and American Airlines ,retired being Captain of the Airlines he worked for. After retirement Michael taught Flight Safety for different Airline and then after retiring from teaching he moved to Aburndale, Fl.
Michael was preceded in death by his wife of 40 yrs, Bonnie Williams who passed in Oct. 2024, a granddaughter Bonnie M. Williams,and a sister Gretchen Schnarr of Fl.
Michael is survived by 7 children, son Robert L. Knowles(Jeannie) Houstonia, MO, Robin Knowles, Russellville, KY, Tina Rasmussen of the home, Heather Williams of the home, Jon Williams of Washington, MO, Marisa Williams of TN, Michaela Williams of TN, 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Also survived by brothers Robert Williams, Mark Williams, sister Mary Cappleman and several nieces and nephews.
A private celebration of life will be done at a later date.
