Bobby Joe Robbins
January 19th, 1986 - April 13th, 2025
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Bobby Joe Robbins of Kannapolis, NC on Sunday, April 13, 2025, at the early age of 39.
He passed away following a fatal automobile accident on Wright Road in Kannapolis NC.
Born on January 19, 1986, in Cabarrus County, Bobby was the son of Melvin Lee Robbins and Sharon “Kay” Horne Robbins. He was lovingly raised solely by his father, Melvin, until his pre-teen years, and then by his father and stepmother, Cathy Dianne Hopkins Robbins, until her sudden passing in 2004.
Bobby received his education in the Rowan County Schools. Throughout his life, he was a hardworking individual, finding fulfillment in his work as a mechanic and in the construction field.
Beyond his work, Bobby had a zest for life and enjoyed many passions. He loved the freedom of riding motorcycles, the tranquility of camping trips, and the peacefulness of fishing. Bobby was a man of nondenominational Faith and a believer in Jesus Christ.
Bobby is survived by his beloved aunts, Betty Horne Garcia, Jennie Call (Horne)Morton (Steven Morton) and Donna Poole (Robbins)McCall (Frank McCall) and a step aunt Donna Brooks. An uncle, Roy Dean Robbins (Patty Pittman Robbins) and many beloved cousins. Nieces and nephews who mourn the recent loss of their mother and his sister, Sharon “Nicole” Robbins: Mckenzie Mcmanus, (Dalton Smith) and their baby boy Jason Smith, Trevor McManus, Century Hunsucker, Coby Hunsucker, and Joshua Blankenship Jr. His two half-brothers, Timmy Horne and James Rumple, on his mother’s side. His stepsisters, Ginger Parker and Brittany Honeycutt from his stepmother side.
Bobby was preceded in death by his stepmother Cathy Dianne Hopkins Robbins in 2004, his mother Sharon “Kay” Horne Robbins in 2010, his father, Melvin Lee Robbins in 2024 and his sister Sharon “Nicole” Robbins also in 2024.
Bobby will be remembered for his heart of gold, his bright smile that could light up a room, and his genuinely loving and kind nature. He was friendly and always willing to help anyone out. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
