Riverside Funeral Home - Santa Fe
Daryl Jeffrey Quintana
October 25th, 1970 - April 15th, 2025
We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Daryl Quintana, who was welcomed into eternal peace by Jesus Christ and joins his beloved family members: his grandmother Trinidad Varela, grandfather Juan Varela, mother Lorraine Maley, brother Nathan Quintana, aunts Betty Varela and Dolores Ortiz, uncles Billy, Gonzalo, and Jimmy Varela, and cousins Jody Varela, Jason Varela, and John Pedroni.
Daryl lived a life full of love, laughter, and unforgettable moments. His happiest times were spent doing what he loved most—fishing whenever he had the chance, playing softball and traveling to tournaments, and camping with his close-knit circle of family and friends. If you knew Daryl, you knew all he looked forward to was spending time with friends and family. You could count on him to be right there, laughing and sharing stories long after the last pitch was thrown, or the last campfire put out. You just had to make sure you were not the first one asleep. As he got older and couldn’t gather with friends and family as often, one of the things he cherished most were his daily phone calls with his brother Clint. Those conversations meant the world to him. He was so happy to hear his nephew Conner and niece Cienna say, “Uncle Daryl”. He also loved being an uncle to Sativa, Trinity, Alexia, Cattleya and Kiera Herrera – great uncle to Arleana and Cayce Baca. His joy for life was infectious, and the memories made with his friends and family will be cherished forever.
Throughout his life, Daryl was blessed to be cared for by Deanne Ortiz and Terry Vigil. Their unwavering support and love meant the world to him, and he knew he could always count on them.
The person who meant the most in the world to Daryl was his son, Santi Feliz.
Little brothers: Eric (Monique) Herrera and Clint (Cindy) Wells.
Special recognition goes to Monique Herrera, Nathaniel “Tiny” Montoya and Mike Vigil.
Honorary Pallbearers: Anthony Martinez, Robert Merchain, Kevin Varela, Ralph “Ralphie” Garcia, Shannon Quintana, Nathaniel “Tiny” Montoya, Mathew Quintana, Kyle Ortiz, Kenny Ortiz, George “Camp Director” Vigil, Joey Varela, Mike Vigil, Carl Martinez, Joe Quintana, Jody Varela (in loving memory), Nick Ortega (in loving memory), Keith Pedroni (in loving memory), Nathan Quintana (in loving memory)
To all the friends and family from the communities of Pecos, Jemez, Seattle, California, and beyond: your love and connection meant everything to Daryl and to all of us. Though many of you cannot be here with us physically, we feel your spirit with us today and always.
