Gregory Warren JamesSeptember 2, 1959 – April 4, 2025

Gregory Warren James, beloved father, son, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on April 4, 2025, in Hillsboro, Oregon, at the age of 65.

Born in Tacoma, Washington on September 2, 1959, Greg lived a life grounded in quiet strength, deep devotion to family, and an unwavering love for sports. A lifelong fan of the Seattle Mariners and Seahawks, he passed down his passion for the game to his four daughters, whom he raised singlehandedly—a role he embraced with humility, dedication, and boundless love.

Greg spent 46 years working faithfully for the same company, exemplifying loyalty and hard work. Even as illness came into his life, his commitment never wavered. He carried himself with quiet dignity and found joy in life’s everyday moments.

Greg’s life took a beautiful turn in 2009, when a chance visit to local grocery stores introduced him to the woman who would become his partner and best friend, Julie. A simple visit turned into a daily hope to see one another. Their first date at Starbucks marked the beginning of a love built on shared laughter, deep connection, and the joy of blended families. Together, they built a life full of love, companionship, and eight grandchildren between them.

Greg was preceded in death by his father, Leslie who passed in 2009 from Cancer. He is survived by his mother Jean, sister Marissa and brother Larry. He has four daughters Monica, Danielle, Elizabeth and Rebecca; and his cherished grandchildren—two from his eldest daughter and six more through the family he lovingly embraced as his own.

Greg will be remembered for his calm presence, gentle heart, and the love he gave so freely to those lucky enough to know him. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, devotion, and quiet courage.

He was deeply loved, and he will be missed forever.
