Ann Vellon, age 98 of Colorado Springs, Colorado passed away at home with her loving family at her side on Saturday, April 12th, 2025. Ann asked that no visitation or memorial services be held only that you remember the good times and celebrate the best of life.

Ann (Madigan) Vellon was born January 20th, 1927, to Raymond and Katherine (Sheridan) Madigan in Susquehanna, PA. Later moving to Kent, OH with her loving mother, father and lifelong friend and sister Mary Susan Pierce. She had three daughters, Kathy A. Downing of Colorado Springs, Laura (Terry) Pollman of Scottsdale, AZ. And Beth (John) Leaver of Colorado Springs, CO. Ann was a devoted and loving grandmother to 5 grandchildren: Stacy, Eryn (Mark), Elizabeth (Jim), Cody (Megan) and Kacy (Paul). They were all lucky to be able to say their grandmother started their education as she did many children as a pre-school teacher for many years. She loved the children, and reading was her foundation to the world. It opens many portals to happiness for those around her hearing her rich voice reading a book, her absolute favorite being Marigold and the Dragon, by Fred Crump, Jr. After retiring from teaching, Ann went to keep the other children happy at the front desk of Colorado College where she worked for many years. Ann, infectious humor was enhanced by her many friends over the years, be it at bowling or cards her girlfriends kept Ann happy and always in trouble.

She had the loving final years surrounded by her grandchildren, 17 Great-grandchildren and 2 Great-Great-Grandchildren who visited or called daily if possible. Along with several nieces and nephews who she spent many wonderful visits with her in Ohio. Ann is preceded in death by her loving parents, Ray and Kay Madigan, her grandson Michael Obrecht, her grandson Terry Michael Pollman, and her grandson in law Glen H Stivison, who are all united once again.

The family would like to thank Pikes Peak Hospice, Dr. Nicholas Piantanida and his wonderful staff and all the dear friends that will remember Ann always in their hearts.
