Carter-Trent Funeral Homes - Kingsport
Norma Jo Boyd
October 30th, 1934 - April 24th, 2025
Norma Jo Boyd, 90, entered the Golden Gates and into the arms of Jesus on April 24, 2025.
Born and raised in Kingsport, Tennessee, Norma was the cherished daughter of the late Ray and Grace Feagins. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, George Boyd.
Norma is lovingly remembered by her daughter, Kim Jeter, and husband Scott; her granddaughters, Mandy Jeter and Katie Hall, along with Katie’s husband, Jeff. She was affectionately known as "Mamaw" to her greatest blessings—her six great-grandchildren: Noah, Georgia, Paxton, Cora, Emma, and Marley.
She dedicated over 30 years to her career at Edward’s, Tipton, and Witt (1968–2000), where she was deeply respected and continued to visit and check in with coworkers even after retirement. Norma was also a faithful member of Clouds Bend United Methodist Church, where she was always ready to lend a hand—especially during apple butter stirrings, chow-chow making, and chocolate Easter egg preparations.
Norma had a heart big enough for everyone. She was a devoted mother, a proud grandmother, and held the special title of "bonus mom" to many. Her pride in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was boundless, and she shared it with everyone she met.
She also had a soft spot for her beloved fur babies—Claire, Paisley, and Parker—who brought her daily joy and comfort.
Norma's legacy of love, faith, and generosity lives on in all who were blessed to know her. A graveside service will be held at Oak Hill Memorial Park on Tuesday, April 29th, at 1:00 p.m. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery by 12:50pm.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Petworks Animal Services at 3101 East Stone Drive Kingsport, TN 37660.
