Constance Lucille "Connie" Gorham
May 1st, 1934 - April 26th, 2025
Constance “Connie” Lucille Gorham, 90, of Nicholasville, Kentucky, and loving wife of Thomas William Gorham passed away on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at Dover Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Georgetown. She was born to the late Theodore Cowper and Loretta B. Humbarger Cowper on May 1, 1934 in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
In addition to her devoted husband of 74 years, Connie is survived by two of their sons, Kurt (Jeanne) Gorham of Hendersonville, Tennessee and Craig (Elizabeth) Gorham of San Antonio, Texas; two sisters, Betty Taylor of Michigan and Judy (John) Kyees of Westerville, Ohio; fourteen grandchildren: Alisha, Ashley, LaDonna, Kristofer, Dustin, Marissa, Charles, Ethan, Nikolaus, Alex, Rebekah, Miranda, Cara, and Cayla; and nine great-grandchildren. Beside her parents, she was preceded in death by one son Thomas Ray Gorham and one brother Jerry Brixey.
Connie and Thomas were business partners in several endeavors. Their first grocery store was in Michigan and their second grocery venture was in West Virginia. Their second phase of business ownership was owning and operating rental properties, in Florida and Kentucky.
A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, May 2nd, 1:00 p.m. at Christ Community Church, 114 Johnson Ave., Nicholasville, KY 40356.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bluegrass Care Navigators, 1733 Harrodsburg Rd., Lexington, KY 40504.
