Tadashi Kajimura
July 25th, 1936 - March 29th, 2025
Tadashi Kajimura, 88, passed away unexpectedly March 29th, 2025, in Puyallup, Washington. He was born on July 25th, 1936, also in Puyallup, Washington.
Tadashi grew up on the family farm & was interned in Camp Minidoka in his youth. Later, he graduated from Fife High School, Class of 1954. Tadashi went to trade school to become a carpenter and worked for Rushforth Construction for many years. He married Joan Yuasa on October 26, 1969. They celebrated 55 years of marriage last October. Tadashi was also long-time member of the Tacoma Buddhist Temple.
Tadashi loved playing & watching sports. He wrestled in High School, fished in the northwest, and played golf until his early seventies (had 4 hole-in-ones). His biggest joy was always watching his two sons playing baseball, basketball, soccer & BMX racing. Tadashi loved going to Husky football games for over 30 years with his son Tracey and loved watching the Mariners & Seahawks in his later years. He also loved gambling at the Red Wind Casino & going to Las Vegas, but he especially loved seeing his granddaughters when they came to visit him.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Hareo, Tsutomu, Saburo. Yoshiaki, Hiroshi and sister, Sanaye. Surviving in addition to his wife, Joan (Yuasa) Kajimura, are his son, Rick Kajimura (Dawn); two grandchildren, Lauren & Nicole, and son; Tracey Kajimura.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM Saturday, May 3rd, 2025, at the Tacoma Buddhist Temple. 1717 Fawcett Ave, Tacoma, WA 98402.
