Earlene S. Lytle
July 10th, 1947 - April 24th, 2025
Earlene Susan Lytle was born in Pocatello, Idaho on July 10th 1947, to Earl and Buhla Rice.
She moved to Boise when she was 12 years old. She attended Boise schools and graduated from Borah High school in 1964.
She married William Lytle in 1965, and they had two children, Bill and Joli.
Earlene worked as an office manager for many years at Executive Fund life insurance company until her retirement.
She loved reading a good book, traveling, music, the color purple, and Kansas City football. Most of all she loved her family. Some of her favorite memories involve guitars, singing with family, and Uncle Daves and Aunt Freda’s porch.
She was able to go to Italy with her sister Cheryl and traveled to Canada to see Il Divo with her favorite Aunt Freda. She also loved to go to Seattle to see her sister Toni and have Blackberry margaritas.
She was the most amazing mother anyone could ever want. She was supportive, kind and our biggest cheerleader in life. She was a true inspiration to all who knew her putting others needs before her own. She was always there when we needed her the most, offering support, wisdom and love in abundance to her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her children: Bill & Stacie Lytle and Joli & Rock Hudson. Grandchildren: Chad, Tanaya, Bret, Ashlee, Brielle, Blake, Braxton and Makayla. She has 8 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild. Sister Toni and brother-in-law Malcolm and many nieces and nephew whom she felt were her kids also.
She is proceeded in death by her parents Earl and Buhla Rice, brother Earl and sister Cheryl.
A special Thank you to Spring Gardens and Keystone hospice for the excellent care you provided mom this last month.
Mom did not want a funeral. She did agree to a celebration of life and said everyone must wear purple. The celebration of life will be June 7th at Rock and Joli’s house, from 12:00-5:00 at 1835 W. Verbena Dr. Meridian Idaho.

We Entrusted Earlene Lytle's Care To
Accent Funeral Home
A local landmark in Meridian, Accent Funeral Home has been serving the community since 1986. The business was first established with a vision to offer services in a comfortable, homelike atmosphere. This vision is reflected in our building, a Tudor-style home built in 1938 for a local postman. When remodeling the house to accommodate the funeral home, much care was taken to preserve the original architectural integrity of the building. The Accent Funeral Home holds a special relationship with the Meridian community and is sensitive to the area’s changing needs, providing service and friendship to comfort those we serve....
