Royce Daniel Roberts
November 16th, 1942 - April 25th, 2025
Royce D. Roberts, born November 16th, 1942, in West Plains, Missouri, passed away peacefully on April 25, 2025, at 1:55 p.m. at the Boise Veterans Hospital where he was presented with honors. Royce was a high school graduate of Nyssa High School in 1961. He is preceded in death by his father, Fred Roberts, his mother, Lillian Roberts Vinsonhaler and his brother, Larry Roberts. Royce is survived by his wife, Gloria, son Rick and family, daughter, Melanie and family and younger brother, Mike Roberts. Royce was a very loving husband, father, and grandfather. Royce was a twenty-year veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a patriotic man with convictions based upon faith and his love for the Lord and his savior Jesus Christ. A proud man tempered in humility, he loved life. Royce fought hard in the end, but faced death with courage and the knowledge that his savior would be there to greet him. Royce, an honorable man who will be missed, but who is now in a better place. In the words of John Wayne, Royce "Walked Proud.
Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 3, 2025, at 11:00a.m. at Hilltop Memorial Cemetery in Nyssa, Oregon.

Our story begins in 1907 when the Peterson family, who owned a furniture store in Ontario, helped with funeral arrangements and sold caskets from the store’s basement. Over the years, the business has grown and had a number of owners, partnerships and names. Among them was our current namesake, the Lienkaemper family, who purchased the family funeral home with the mission of helping families in the Ontario community. ...
