In Loving Memory

Peggy Dianne Davis Sandstrom was born into her East Texas family on August 18, 1951. She peacefully entered into rest on April 15, 2025, in North Carolina, surrounded by family and friends.

Peggy lived her life with the gift of hospitality, always opening her home and meal tables to people in need of comfort and kindness. Her joy of cooking blessed countless guests throughout her years as a wife, mother, and friend. People in the North particularly enjoyed her fine Southern meals, breads, desserts, and sweet tea!

Peggy desired to be a wife and homemaker more than anything, but held a colorful list of jobs over the years: city and school bus driver, special needs classroom assistant, legal aide at a New York law firm, county clerk, and manger of a Christian book store.

While Peggy did not enjoy the limelight, she had a soothing alto voice, and harmonized with her husband in ministry and music, singing in choirs, and singing with her family.

Peggy’s ability to decorate a home brought great joy! She had a green thumb, and her spaces were always robust with vibrant houseplants and colorful flowers.

Peggy eternally joins her husband William David Sandstrom, her parents, Betty Jean and James Carl Davis, her brother, James (Jimmy) Davis., and many others. She leaves behind a legacy through her son, Jeffrey A. Sandstrom, (his wife Elizabeth and their daughter Stella), along with Peggy’s daughter Amy Sandstrom Shroyer, (Amy’s son Jeffrey Michael and daughter Sadiella Jeannine).

Peggy will be forever loved and deeply missed, but we all rejoice in the fullness of life and healing that she now enjoys in her Heavenly body and Eternal Home!
