Sharon Lou Matlock
March 27th, 1939 - April 25th, 2025
Sharon Lou Matlock of Thornton, Colorado, was born March 27, 1939, to the late James and Clevia Stephens of Lincoln, Nebraska. After a recent hospitalization, at age 86, she entered her heavenly home on April 25, 2025. She is now at peace in the presence of her Lord whom she served faithfully all her life.
Sharon is preceded in death by her husband and siblings, Lester Stephens of Texas, Glen Stephens of Colorado, Maydene McCoy and Paul Stephens of Nebraska, her son MartyMatlock and great granddaughter, Oakley Haberman. Sharon is survived by her daughter Cindy Martin (Matlock) and husband Steve of Florida, grandson Derrick Martin, wife Kaitlyn, great grandchildren Micah and Micala Martin of Georgia, grandson Andy Martin of Alabama, her son Jef Matlock, wife Shannon of Colorado, granddaughters Brooke Driskell and husband Jeremy, great grandson Kieran Driskell, of Colorado, Brenna Myrant and husband Andrew of Colorado, Bailey Haberman and husband Zach of Utah, and great grandchildren, Bellamy and Winry Haberman.
Sharon was a homemaker, and a loving and faithful wife of the late Charles Matlock to whom she was married for 47 years. She also served the Lord for many years in church ministries and worked at the Walter Drake Company in Colorado Springs.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 10, at 1:00 pm at Elmwood Baptist Church in Brighton, Colorado. Interment will be at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver.
