All-States Cremation - Colorado Springs
Ann Lee Perschbacher
September 9th, 1932 - April 21st, 2025
Ann Lee Perschbacher (Salyards, Renck, Simpson) was born September 9, 1932 in Neenah Wisconsin where she lived with her mother, father and her sister Mary. She moved to Colorado Springs in 1938 where she grew up with a large extended family on the west side. She had many stories of growing up with sisters Mary and Mitzi, brothers John, Tommy and Edgar (Howard).
One of her favorite memories was of having the honor of ringing the church bell at the end of WWII on VE Day. Ann expanded her family further when she married Owen Renck and was welcomed into another large extended family as Owen had many brothers and sisters. Ann and Owen bought one of the first houses built in Security Colorado on Easy Street. It was here that her children Sandra, Johnny, Russ and Dianne were born. Ann and Owen divorced and eventually Ann met and married Bill Simpson, a life long Monument resident. This moved the family to the Monument area in 1969.
Ann was a long time member of Mountain Community Mennonite church and was involved in many Tri Lakes area activities including being a Weight Watchers leader, having a sewing shop, and for many years made wild fruit jellies as Granny Goodberries, selling in stores and at markets. She also began hiking which became a very important part of her life. She maintains friendships to this day with women she hiked with all over the state, country and other countries. She also enjoyed attending the Colorado Springs Symphony and continued to do so regularly throughout her life.
Ann began a new chapter in her life when she married Ed Perschbacher. They enjoyed the outdoors together fishing and camping and went on many adventures including completing the trek up Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa.
Ann was proceeded in death by her husband Ed, daughters Dianne and Sandra, son Johnny and granddaughter Jessica.
She is survived by her grandson Colyn and by her grandson Josh and his wife Bobbie, great-grandson TJ and great-granddaughter Sandra.
She is also survived by her son Russ and his wife Julie, their son Tim his wife Alex and their sons Parker and Wesley, their son Joseph and his wife Micah, their son Daniel, his wife Elle and their son August and daughter Myla.
She lived a very full life so in lieu of flowers feel free to donate to Shepard's Gate Farm (shepards-gate-farm.square.site) and we will plant trees on her property at the foot of Mount Herman.
