Debra Elizabeth Elgaouni
November 27th, 1959 - April 28th, 2025
Debra Elizabeth Elgaouni, 65, wife of Sameh Elgaouni, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2025. She was born in Genoa, Ohio on November 27, 1959 to the late Bruce and Lulla Dugan Caseman. Debbie dedicated over 40 years of her life to the nursing profession as a registered nurse. She was deeply passionate about pallative care. Debbie’s example helped to shape the careers of so many young nurses, including her daughter and niece. She loved trips to the beach with family and friends. Debbie enjoyed traveling to experience as much of the world as possible. She was an excellent cook that loved people through her food. The most important thing to Debbie was spending time with the people she loved: her family and her tribe.
In addition to her husband, Debra is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth (Scott) Hinshaw, Union, KY; her son, Ahmed Elgaouni, Lawrenceburg, KY; her sister, Laura (Howard) LaBine, Oak Harbor, Ohio. As well as her grandchildren Raven Elgaouni, Jax Elgaouni, and Sutton Hinshaw.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Teresa Caseman; and her brother, Thomas Caseman.
Gathering of Family and Friends will be held from 11:00am until 2:00pm on Saturday, May 17, 2025 at Clark Legacy Center, Versailles Rd. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lexington Humane Society.
