Lakisha Talley

Lakisha Talley, 42, of Summerville, South Carolina, passed away on April 28, 2025. Born on March 7, 1983, in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina, Lakisha brought warmth and vibrancy to every chapter of her life.

She was a devoted mother to her three daughters—Miliea Talley, Raven Talley, and Olivia Cooke—and a proud grandmother to her beloved grandson, Kai Jones. Lakisha shared her life with her spouse, David Moore, whose companionship was a source of strength and love. She is also remembered by her father, Keith McMillan; stepmother, Brenda McMillan; brother, Lacoma McMillan; and sisters, Karly West and Kara Coy.

Lakisha was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Ann Moore.

Known for her authenticity and fierce spirit, Lakisha stood firmly in who she was and expressed herself boldly. Her colorful hair became a signature of her vibrant personality—a reflection of the joy and individuality she brought into the lives of those around her. She had a special fondness for animals, especially frogs.

Lakisha found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She loved crocheting and reading—pastimes that allowed her creativity and imagination to flourish. A passionate supporter of the Georgia Bulldogs, she cheered on her team with unwavering enthusiasm.

Those who knew Lakisha will remember her as genuine, caring, loving, and bold—a woman who embraced life fully and gave generously of herself to others. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

Honoring Lakisha’s wishes, she has been cremated and now rests peacefully among family and loved ones.
