In Loving Memory

Louise Mae Dickinson, 93, passed away on April 28, 2025 with her family at her side. She was born on August 10, 1931 in Ware, Massachusetts to the late Edgar and Daisy (Keehlwetter) Houghton. Louise grew up in Warren and relocated to Brimfield after marrying her beloved husband, Frank C. Dickinson, Jr., in 1950. She dedicated her life to raising her family and caring for her home. A caregiver at heart, Louise's kindness extended to all and she was always there to lend a hand to anyone in need.

She loved baking for her family, birdwatching with her late husband Frank, cheering on the Red Sox and Patriots, reading the newspaper daily, and taking bus trips with her sisters to the Foxwood Casino. Most of all, she loved her family and her many cats throughout the years.

Besides her parents, Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Frank C. Dickinson, Jr.; sisters, Catherine and Jean; and her brothers, James, Herbert, John and Henry. She will be dearly missed by her children, Richard Dickinson and wife Dorothy, Cynthia Dickinson, Carol MacGillivray and husband David, Diane Dickinson and wife Tracey Salisbury, and Marilyn Dickinson and partner Jim McIntire and his children Erica and David McIntire; her sister, Barbara Morin, of Warren; grandchildren, David MacGillivray Jr. and his partner Bridgette Delisle, Jason MacGillivray, and Kyle MacGillivray; as well as her great-granddaughter, Odette MacGillivray.

The family extends deep gratitude to the staff of the EGIS unit at Cedarbrook Village for the compassionate care provided to Louise, and to Beacon Hospice for the care received in Louise's final days.

The family welcomes friends and relatives to remember and celebrate Louise's life. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 8, 2025 from 10-11am with a celebration of Louise's life to begin at 11am at the Beers & Story Palmer Funeral Home. Burial will immediately follow in Brimfield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Louise's name can be made to Here Today Adopted Tomorrow, 180 Sturbridge Rd. PO box 557 Brimfield, MA 01010, or by visiting heretodaysanctuary.org
