Jack Lee Mitchell

Jack "Jackie” Lee Mitchell, 56, of Greeley, passed away on September 9, 2020 in Greeley Colorado. He was born to Billy "Zack” and Dorothy (Chrispen) Mitchell on April 25, 1964, in Greeley Colorado. He was raised in Greeley where he lived for much of his life. He was a diesel mechanic for Z&D Trucking, J&K Trucking both companies owned and operated by the family as well as many other places over the years (Shupe Brothers and Peterbilt to name a few). He was taught by his father the ins and outs of diesel mechanics. His latest employer was Fuzion in Greeley. Jack loved to search for geo’s and carve walking sticks out of tree branches. He loved anything to do with Indians and collected toy size diesel trucks. As children, we were big on snow sports, dirt bike riding as well as horseback riding. Jack is survived by his children, Erik Mitchell of Philadelphia PA; daughter, Kadi Mitchell of Fort Collins; and son, Garrett Mitchell of Greeley Colorado; ex-wife, Kim Goodrich. Five grandchildren Kennedy, Kellan, Milah, Addysin, and Bailee Mitchell; sister, Judy (Bret) Brungardt, brother, Alan Mitchell; ex-wife, Victoria Turner; great nieces and nephews, Jeffrey (Ricki) Mitchell, Kellie (Billy) Cox-Weller, Chad Mitchell, and Amanda (Zack) Fargo, and many other friends and family. Jack was preceded in death by his father and his mother. Viewing is from 4-7 at Northern Colorado Cremations and Celebration of Life from 7pm at Eagle’s Nest in LaSalle, Colorado on Friday, September 18, 2020.
